We’re at the cusp of the New Year and ready to examine the energy of 2019 in order to use its power in our lives.
2019 is a THREE YEAR (2+0+1+9 = 1+2 = 3)
Three is a magical, mystical number, oftentimes associated with giving birth. In tarot, the number three is linked with the Empress card in the Major Arcana, or the Mother archetypal energy, which signifies giving life to projects and things you might have been working on creating.

Three is related to the Empress in Tarot
Those projects (whether they are projects of the mind or even real life things like building a house that you’ve been planning), will likely need to be given a lot of energy, as they will be in their infancy. Refer back to your mothering skills (or nurturing skills) to take care of the things you bring to life in the year 2019. They will be precious to you.
The Empress card is ruled over by Venus, goddess of love and beauty. It is also associated with creativity and the Sacral Chakra.
It’s also about the feminine energy in life: receptive, encouraging, soft, fluid, intuitive, empathetic, nurturing. It’s supportive and watery. It allows itself to feel. It listens and tries to understand. It can be protective if provoked or if it senses danger (think of a mama bear and her cubs). It surrounds itself in beauty and is grounded in the home. It creates its own stability around it.

Triangles are the geometric expression of the number 3
Three is more about group energy than a couple or individual power; there is strength in community and cooperation. The energy of three is very social and about working in teams, rather than as a pair or individual.
The Holy Trinity is a three: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The life of a woman is also broken down into three: the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone.
The family starts with three: Mother, Father, Child.
This year, you can even start on Regina Thomashauer’s Trinity from her book, The School of Womanly Arts:
Brag (about your accomplishments)
Desire (list what you truly want from and in life)
Gratitude (what you are grateful for)
Three also reminds us to tend to our own inner children and give ourselves the support and love that we might not have gotten as children or to emulate the love that we got from the maternal influences in our lives and fill the world with that gentle, patient, encouraging energy. If you’ve ever considered doing work on healing your inner child, this would be the year to work on it.
I hope that your 2019 is the year where all of your desires are fulfilled and that you are able to grow what it is you’ve brought into this world in a healthy and positive way.
